The new Nescafe ad is one of my favorite ads recently. The ad very carefully, gracefully handled a sensitive and tough issue of stuttering. Most of us try to skip ads while browsing videos on YouTube. But probably this ad makes you to skip the video for the first time!

Watch the ad below:

An advertisement with a message is worth watching!

Released just over two weeks ago, the ad has been watched by over 3,238,466 viewers on YouTube with more than 6000 shares, 7000 plus likes and adding 450 more subscribers to Nescafe India YouTube channel.

Advertisements are necessary for two primary reasons:

  1. Zig Ziglar says selling is all about the transference of emotions and the ads are the best medium to showcase your product and its feelings.
  2. Advertisements helps the customers to be informed about your product.

So what makes this ad special?

We all start our day with a cup of coffee. It makes us active and start our day on a positive note. Even during your work time or when you are hyper active and needs a break, we all drink coffee to pick up our brain and to feel good, relaxed. In 2012, the National Institutes of Health reported coffee drinkers tend to live longer than non-drinkers! So it all starts with a cup of coffee.

We all fall, get up and complete the race of life! And while we huddle up with friends, family and the world to celebrate the success, it is only that one companion that silently stays by our side all through the journey, right from the start, never letting us give up & keeping us on plan – NESCAFΙ! #ItAllStarts

It’s true that we all fall, get up and complete the race of life. But few actually makes it to the top after their failures. Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds. (Orison Swett Marden)

In this ad, the actor converts his weakness into his strength and through light comedies, he takes his crowd in his hands converting his weakness into his strength.

Nescafe New Ad 2014

5 lessons that you can learn from this ad!

1. Perseverance never fails

Through hard work and perseverance, you can live your dreams. We have many examples in the names of  Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Walt Disney and many more. So it’s up to us to decide where and when to stop trying! As Marie Curie says “Life is not easy for any of us. We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.”

2. Don’t Give up

Never give up on your failures. We need to start celebrating the failures and move on. No matter what the challenges are, accept those and never stop until you achieve your dreams. In this ad, the actor is trying hard to overcome his challenges and finally he tastes his sweetness of success.

3. Turn your weakness into your strengths

We all have weaknesses and we all work towards eliminating them. As Richard Branson says “you must have the courage to trust your instincts and be ready to question what other people don’t.” Stuttering is a major weakness for someone who believes so. But once you start believing you and believing your strengths, no matter how big the challenge is, you will overcome them and move onto succeed.

4. Follow your heart

Do something that gives you freedom to live your life. Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, Steve Jobs.

5. Create the Unstoppable you!

As Cynthia Kersey says in her book Unstoppable, Maybe your goal is not to end world hunger, run a multibillion-dollar company, or make the cover of Time. Maybe your aspirations and desires focus on starting a new business, making a career change or doing volunteer work in your community. Perhaps you’ve wanted to run for a school board position, complete a 5K race or pursue the passion for music that you abandoned for more practical pursuits. The size of the goal is not what constitutes an unstoppable spirit. It is personified in anyone who identifies a goal–something that really matters to that person–and refuses to give up until that goal is achieved.

So start weaving your dreams and create the Unstoppable you! It all starts!
