Freshdesk acquired Bangalore based data integration startup Pipemonk for an undisclosed amount. Pipemonk helps small and medium business users to synchronize and move data among multiple cloud apps quickly and easily.

Pipemonk (Formerly ZapStitch) was founded bySatya Padmanabham, former Yahoo and Oracle employee and ex-Redbus executive Ravi Madabushi. Satya’s former venture “Yourbus” was acquired by Goibibo.

Pipemonk is Freshdesk’s seventh acquisition in the last sixteen months. Pipemonk has over 400 clients globally. The cloud based platform enables small and medium business users to automate their data flow.

Pipemonk has raised just over $2M since it launched in 2014. The investors include Helion Venture Partners, Orios Venture Partners and Anupam Mittal (Founder and Former CEO of (Source: Crunchbase)

Team will lead efforts to create seamless integrations between business apps for heightened customer engagement

Freshdesk, founded by Girish Mathrubootham in 2010 is one of the leading customer engagement software that enables companies to provide multi-channel support via phone, email, chat, website, social networks, and mobile apps. Freshdesk serves more than 100,000 customersglobally including 3M, Honda, Hugo Boss, Cisco, Petronas etc.The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has a development center in Chennai, India. They also opened a new office in Berlin, Germany last year.

Freshdesk has raised around $150M in six rounds of funding from investors including Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global Management, Accel Partners and Google Capital.

All 13 employees of Pipemonk will join Freshdesk.At Freshdesk, the Pipemonk team will work on strengthening the integrations between the Freshdesk suite of products as well as expand third-party integrations for each of the Freshdesk products, thus cutting down the need for multiple logins, multiple amounts of data entry, and allowing instant and seamless access to dynamic data across products.
