In its latest video, Apple continues to highlight the potentially life-saving features of the Apple Watch. The video titled ‘911’ tells three stories of people who succeeded in contacting emergency personnel using their Apple Watch.
In the ad, audios from actual 911 calls are used.

“These are just three of many incredible stories where people were able to get help using the Apple Watch,” Apple touted.
The Apple Watch Series 7 features an Emergency SOS feature that lets the users quickly and easily reach 911 by long-pressing on the side button. There is also a fall detection feature that can detect when an Apple Watch user has taken a hard fall, and automatically call emergency services if the person doesn’t dismiss the alert within one minute of falling.
This isn’t the first time Apple has focused on the life-saving features of the Apple Watch in its advertising. In 2017, the company released a video titled ‘Dear Apple,’ featuring stories from Apple Watch users who credit the wearable with “helping them live healthier lives.”
The ‘911’ ad received backlash on social media for inducing fear in the customers. But from an advertising POV, the ad is brilliant in that it just explains the benefit of having the product and no over-emphasis on product features.
